GREAT post. I thought that my device is partialy unoperational.

(6 times host tryied to fetch CONFIGURATION, and 5 times got partial erb in response, so i thought lack of report descriptor was error too)

This is really neat. I built a shutter release with an old mouse, with left button for focus and right button for shutter, since it's nigh on impossible to find a 2-stage switch.

This library does not support I2C. It's designed to use the HD44780 bus and protocol. I suspect your I2C backpack has it's own simplified protocol.

I have a 16*2 LCD, which I am using through I2C.
I used the basic "Hello World" Program. The connections are perfect. Only the LCD backlight is glowing but it's not printing anything.
I've tried running other programmes as well but the same thing is happening.
What do you think the problem could be?

Last time I was doing bb dev was about 2-3 years ago. At that time not much had changed on the linux front. The barry project has continued to progress and the bjavaloader tool still works great. Last time I checked the simulator was still hit or miss with wine, but networking in VirtualBox has got a lot easier so running the simulator in a virtual machine is pretty straight forward.

Has this gotten any easier? Have you tried this with newer Linux's? I see this is a long time with no comments...
